Re: WBD Discussion
Doc, we went over this. Mutilating him won't do the trick. Unwillingly transforming his existing body into one of darkness is the better idea, as there's no other thing that's so elementary to KH, but still makes vague sense, almost, in the story.

Idea!
So defeated by a dark being?
Hmm...
Malefiecent? Perhaps The Emperor from FF2?

Re: WBD Discussion
...Not exactly what I meant, but those actually might make sense...
-Maleficent traps Blake in her lair, having set the trap for somebody else, but decides to make use of him by turning him into one of her dark minions, which requires forcibly transforming him into a being of darkness. She probably brings him under mind control, and he has to struggle to return to lucidity, possibly needing outside help to return to himself.
-Emperor Mateus captures him, for use in an experiment. Since the Emperor is so dead-set on surpassing the gods and such, he wants to see what he can do by turning a human into a being of darkness, and subjecting him to all sorts of magical, painful tests. He'll need somebody to break him out, as Mateus is NOT stupid enough to underestimate Blake. He'll have made certain that Blake could not escape, as that would ruin the experiment.
Either way makes a fair amount of sense, but you should set up context for it first. Introduce the villain of choice, have them plot, and start setting up why they catch him. Perhaps Maleficent wanted to capture Sora or Riku? Maybe the Emperor has taken an interest in the House, and thinks that a resident would make a fine specimen, but doesn't want to risk it with somebody obscenely strong?

Re: WBD Discussion
You know, I was actually wanting to involve some of you in this, and I figured I'd throw it out here.
I was planning on doing an arc with my trio in WBD, having them go on a (albeit kinda long) quest. I have the basis of it drawn out, but I want a few days to hammer the details of it out.
Basically, my plot concept would be thus: as a part of my trio's job, they are assigned tasks in worlds, typically elimination or scouting missions, that are done to combat a rival corporation's plans. This usually means fighting the rival corporation's experiments (eliminations) and espionage (scouting). Like I said, this is just the basis of it, but it's something I'd really like to try and pull through on. And I feel once I do this, I'll be able to post a little better, and after it I'll continue HH (I realize I dropped that, and I'm terribly sorry, I wanted to do something I wasn't ready for).

I'm thinking about Mateus using Mako as a testing chemical on Blake. What would be some effects from said substance?

His eyes would glow, he would have inhuman strength, and, if over-exposed, mako poisioning, which would most probably kill him.

Re: WBD Discussion
Also, submerging him in the stuff for too long would turn him into a monster. Or, perhaps those capsules contained some altered form of it...?
Well, I think you should stop trying to think in terms of science, and start using either SCIENCE! or magic. Think along the lines of what CAPCOM would do: bullsh*t up an explanation that's completely wrong, but might make sense if you don't think about it too hard, and lack experience in that field.
Emperor Mateus doesn't really seem the type to use chemicals. He died, went to hell, and took over because he was so damn evil and powerful! And he was from FFII, where they didn't have crazy steampunk-magitek stuff like FFVII. That connection makes about as much sense as a Black Mage casting Indignation, or Genis Sage casting Firaga.
You don't need specifics, like how the proceedure works, just general details, like how it happens: Is he locked in a coffin-like container? A capsule? A chamber? Dropped into another dimension? Eaten by flames made out of darkness? You don't have to explain how it works, just what the characters would know from looking at it, and what the villain feels like explaining, which is to say, not very much! Does Mateus seem the type to explain his plots in specific detail? No, he doesn't, and he isn't.

Interesting. Care to share it, just to make sure? I know that I have some ideas that look good at first, but then start to look pretty stupid in hindsight... But if you would prefer privacy, I'll respect it and shut up.

Re: WBD Discussion
I'm almost done with writing down my notes on it, I want to get it all down somewhere and then review it, and then, in line with a PM I sent you, Gregar, as well as to Haar and Admin, I'll send it to you guys to look it over. Cause I'm paranoid or whatever like that. I'll also send it to Doc so we can discuss when and how he's going to get his darkness on Blake
Just gimme like... two, maybe three hours and it'll be done. And Admin, if you read this, I'd like to work with you on this at one specific point... the whole plot point kinda falls flat if I can't involve Minato. XD It's nothing big, just something I think would be amusing and interesting to see.

Re: WBD Discussion
Ok.
I have some visual ideas for the new body...
- Always noticeable. Hair would either be white or darker and a ceaser cut.
-noticeable in combat only.
-noticeable only when darkness is used.
Any update on TITAL?

Who knows? My guess is that they'll show up as needed, or just on the whims of their writers.

Lei's staying in TITAL, he's not coming over to WBD. Unless by some whim I change my mind, I'm not gonna be bringing him over.

Re: WBD Discussion
Nobody from TITAL...although I am ditching Henry and Nowi for Chrom and Marth. I don't really have a good reason, I just don't have any legitimate reason to keep them around. And their entrance was kinda half-assed. And they don't really have much in the line of character...why did I introduce them in the first place again? Meh, bios for the pair will be up soon enough. And by that I mean sometime around their introduction.

Re: WBD Discussion
So...
Shadows and Personas.
I kinda have a plan for this.
Since this is an AU, I think we should do an original battle sequence.
Instead of your friends fighting the Shadow, the person which the Shadow derived from fights him.
Example...
"We'll stop you, and we'll accept Jake for who he is!" Nathan proceeds to lunge towards Jake's Shadow... when Jake stops him.
"No. This is a part of me, and I'm glad that you accept me for who I am. But this is my problem, and my problem alone."
Jake gets up, and he raises his weapon.
"A problem that I must face alone!"

Re: WBD Discussion
Actually... in Persona 2, the cast had to fight their Shadow selves, who were basically an evil version that DIDN'T transform into a monstrous enemy, and actually used a fake version of their Persona. And they all fought together.
As for one-on-one confrontations with the Shadows, the best place would be the Heartstation of the given person, as nobody can usually interfere there.
Thing is, that also subverts the theme of teamwork and camaraderie that we're building up in WBD.
Besides, a Shadow of yourself? It's fundamentally impossible for you to face it alone. That's why it exists in the first place.

There would be merit to it if it weren't, y'know, fundamentally impossible. You'd have dismissed the idea immediately if you really understood how Shadows worked in the first place.
