...Not much of anything has happened in all that time. Mostly just Archer, Nick, and Sylvia doing stuff, with me occasionally interrupting to post more of Rexial's misadventures. Oh, and the plot is starting to pick up again. I think. Finally.

Eques, could you post some kind of reaction? Aleri and Dante just came out a an LC in front of Castle Asylum. Dante wanted to see the town, remember? Al's stuck in plot hell until Dante does something. Or else, Al's gonna change the sequence of events, and use a magic trick to redirect Dante back to Castle Willright alone.

I own FFX. But 1, I suck at it, and 2 I haven't played it in just about forever on account of...bad cast of player chars.

Let's see... I can't remember that one so well. Yuna was removed from the party, and all my Magic and Aeons were sealed. ...Wait, you had access to Aeons? Then that's not the same fight, and I have no clue what to do about helping.

...Why does everybody hate FFX's characters, particularly Tidus? How would YOU act if you were raised by a constantly-drunk Jecht, and never got the attention you needed? That's (almost) how Crona from Soul Eater got so screwed up, you know, and nobody criticizes Crona on being awkward and cowardly and depressed.

No its the same fight, Wakka and Rikku bust the little negator machine crap and I'm doing good on damage control, healing up and striking back as much as I can before the beam hits and kills them all...but 3 turns inst much time

*sigh* Okay. One: Wakka. He is a complete moron. He sees Rikku's hometown exploding and thinks it will help to compare it to "happy festival fireworks". And he spends all the money his team could be using to train on his massive amounts of hair gel.

Two: Lulu. No specific problems here.

Three: Kimahri. For one thing, why can't he speak English when the entire rest of his species that we see can? For another, what the hell is he? I see...blue werewolf/cat/unicorn/human/thingy. No further comments.

Rikku: ...Look at her design. She's practically naked...

Yuna: Falls for Tidus. Constantly kidnapped. 'Nuff said.

Tidus: Oh, so many things wrong. First off, "This is my story." No it's not, it's Yuna's story. Shut the hell up. Second: his attitude. Whiny. Arrogant. Self-righteous, selfish. If he's not b*tching about how this is his story, and how everything is everyone else's fault, or how BILLIONS OF PEOPLE SHOULD DIE SO THAT ONE PERSON DOESN'T, then he isn't happy...oh wait, he's not happy anyway. And he makes sure we know it. And let's not forget. He's a narrator. He can't let us have a silent moment. Someone has to be talking, even if nobody in-universe can hear it. He finds endless ways to p*ss everyone off. And let's not forget when we first meet Yuna. Guardian tells him not to go in, the summoner must do it on their own, and his response is "F*ck tradition, f*ck you, I'm the only important person here!"

Note: I am aware that he was raised in such a way that you might expect most of this. That does not make it less annoying when it happens. Expected=/=pleasant.

Better than Cecily from TITAL. She's unrealistically happy and cheerful, after her backstory. Would you rather have a half-assed character, or an annoying one? I'd take the latter, personally. I'll take the annoyance over becoming the whiny one myselfg and complaining about how the character sucks.

Hair can stick up without using hair gel. Wearing headbands 24/7 helps with that. Also... Wakka IS an idiot. I thought that was obvious.

Rikku being scantily clad is... a legitimate problem? Since when? Rosa wears a bikini and a cape. Rydia wears a loincloth, a bikini, and a shawl. They always do this, why is this case such a problem?

Kimahri... who knows, who cares? He's part Dragoon, too, which makes him awesome. Even if it's useless.

Yuna's standard enough for a female lead. And she doesn't just rely on Tidus saving her, in case you didn't notice. She escaped in Luca herself, Tidus just beat up the robot that was in their way. The... SPOILERSPOILERSPOILERSPOILERWEDDINGSPOILERSECENESPOILER ...is an example wherein the idea of rushing in to save her... screws up her plan to kill off a major adversary for good. And gets everybody thrown into a dungeon, to boot.

Oh, and about the "This is my story" bit? Blame Auron. He told Tidus whose story it was, and it stuck with him. So, guess what? The most kickass character in the game gave him his annoying catchphrase.

The boss is the Crawler and thanks Neb for defending my third favorite Final Fantasy game while I was being slaughtered for the 5th time!

Oh, it WAS the guy I was thinking of! Your magic and Aeons are sealed while the bit is there, but... listen to this. It can't fire its Mana Cannon while the bit is out there, and it can't pull it back on its own. So... make sure the bit is still there when it fires. Try to use Items to heal. Or, you can destroy the bit, and use a spell to negate the charging of the Mana Cannon. I forget what spell, though. Use Haste, if you plan on getting rid of the bit. Slow is effective, too, but it doesn't help against the counterattacks. Try using Armor Break on it.

...Another way of dealing damage is if you stole plenty of Electro Marbles or Thunder Marbles from enemies on the Thunder Plains, and have Rikku use them. It's a little late for that, though, I guess.

With Rikku, she's what, 13? That's the problem...and as for Auron, he's just an ass to everyone else. by making Tidus say wrong things. Oh, and hair might stick up on its own, but NOT like Wakka's does.

I'm not saying it's a bad game. It's not. Tidus just ruins it.

Tidus only ruins it if you let him ruin it. By not paying attention to detail. I appreaciate the fact that they made a character who DOESN'T figure out how to explain everything himself, and acts like a human.

Also, you seem to be thinking of X-2, when Rikku's wearing a bikini the whole time. In this game, she's a little more decent. Which seems more weird, a young adult in swimwear, a grown woman in swimwear, or a teenage girl in swimwear? Obviously, you're not using your head on this one.

All that aside, it's fairly subjective. If you went into it with the intention of liking it, and tried to appreciate the game without letting and internet full of whiners (who make Tidus look content, for comparison) ruin it for you. I want to like the game, and I do. It took some getting used to the difference, though. It was really odd, having 3-D turn-based battles, and the weird, depressing atmosphere, and... yeah, the tone was really different. How far did you even get, Haar?

You're complaining about Wakka's hair. Sora crashes into the ocean from the outer atmosphere, shakes his hair when he back above the water and its spiky again. You're argument is invalid. Square Enix hair breaks physics enough said.

And Neb...I know. The fact that he does not get along with everyone else (and is therefore torturing them) is a part (small part) of what MAKES him a badass.

And again, it is a good game! I like it as a game! I just don't like Tidus!!!

No, they're return to DI at the end of KH2. Not a dream sequence or a theme song, it was the end game cinematics.

Okay, 1. Water sphere floating in the middle of nothing. Bullsh*t.

2. How long can they hold their breath?! Bullsh*t. Or can they breathe underwater? Bullsh*t.

3. They took the one interesting part of the game out for the players. The 3-D aspect. The only thing that made it any different from hands-on Soccer. EPIC. BULLSH*T.

4. What the hell are those lumps on the ball for? inb4innuendo. Seriously, though, they hardly make it more hydrodynamic...
