"How come? Why the sudden quit? Didn't you almost kill like three bitches so far?" Zane almost laugh, pinching her Sally's side.

"You weren't kidding when you said 'keyhole'," Sylvia remarked, looking shocked at Thalia's extravagant movements as she sealed the world's heart with a resounding 'click'. "Wait, uh...why is there a keyhole here anyway? And...why did you have to lock it?" She blinked, staring at the lake as it returned to its calm state as if its waters had never been disturbed.

Thalia sighed, "That's a doorway to the world's heart. Archer found it somehow... and her entering it unlocked it. If I didn't lock it again, the world would be vulnerable to the heartless. It could've been swallowed just like yours was." Thalia rubbed her brow, "Sorry to be blunt but you've got to learn sooner or later."

Sylvia shrugged. "Makes a fair bit of sense, I guess," she said nonchalantly, turning her attention back to Archer. "So, did you find anything of value in there? Besides, ahh...an information overload, you say?"

"I tried to call on the World's power, actually," Archer murmured, "It didn't have quite the intended effect but it's unlocked more of my magic circuits, so I should have more of my full strength back soon enough."

Sammy was still sitting in her room, when Naomi woke up. He smiled and said, "You're up."


She just stared at him and began to laugh hysterically.

Sammy just sighed and said,"That random interval drug is still in you?"

Naomi stopped laughing and looked at him, then got on top of him, sending him to the floor... and she suddenly stopped. Sammy tried to move her, but to no luck. She somehow casted a high level Stop spell on herself or was in stasis. He just looked up at the ceiling and said,"Maganus, can you please help me out here?"

A minute went by, then five, then 10. Nothing happened. Sammy just sighed.

"Magic circuits?" That caught Sylvia's attention. "Wait...are you a robot, or something?" Her eyes widened slightly as she took in Archer's appearance. "You certainly don't look like one..." Then again, there's a lot of stuff I don't know about this gal...

"What? No," Archer waved her hand airily. "Magic Circuits are conduits for casting magic. Uhh, it's essentially what allows you to cast magic in my world," she explained hastily at Sylvia's blank expression.

"Oh! I getcha!" Sylvia nodded, her curious expression returning to neutrality. "Too bad. We got a lot of robots and cyborgs back home, and I was gonna praise your maker, heh," she laughed merrily at her own mistake. "Never mind then. So! Now that business is out of the way, what's next on the agenda?"

Sally chuckled a bit.
"I'm not sure why it worked out like it did... It's just that the way that last fight went, it just seemed like sort of a... Natural stopping point, ya know?"

Dispatch heard wrestling coming from a guest room. "More newcomers?" There were a lot of them around lately, it seemed. The idea that they might be doing...things, did not occur to him. Instead, he knocked on the door and said, "Hey, who's in there? You new around here?"

Thalia folded her arms, "I'd like to hear about this "information overload" if you remember anything."

Rexial walked into the room behind Dispatch, pushing past him. "...'Scuze me, Dispatch. These guys just showed up outside, tired and hungry. I figured I'd let 'em have the two guest rooms and some food, rather than just..." >...Recruit them out of the blue.< "...Y'know. The usual procedure for random people strolling in."

Dispatch shrugged. "Xeromus had zero problem doing it for...um, that one guy. I think I forgot his name..."

Sammy just stared at the ceiling, hoping Naomi would come out of stasis. It was kind of nice though. After a couple more minutes of waiting, she finally broke out of stasis and said," I am so sorry!" He just smiled and said,"It's ok." Naomi then rolled off of Sammy and stared at the ceiling.

>Dispatch, if we just recruit everybody who comes in here, we'll be flooded with bodies. Plus, it looks like this guy's just a traveller. He needed a place to stay the night. Funny, though, if he'd gone a little farther, he'd have seen the nearby town.< "I just figured it'd be best to give them rooms for the night, instead of using a more... permanent solution."

<I love how, for all in-universe Sammy knows, they're talking about killing their visitors.>

"Why are you using...oh, wait, they don't know who we are, do they?" asked Dispatch. "What, you didn't tell them? Geez, you're letting them stay in the guest room, you could at least tell them whose castle they're staying at."

"They probably don't care. I mean, if I told them, they'd be interested. They DID say that they would do anything for us if we gave them shelter, so I guess it's reasonable. Shall I explain it to them? Oh!"

Rexial set the tray he was holding on the nightstand. "Sorry, I forgot. Scrambled eggs, toast, milk, basic stuff. I can't explain an entire organization's existance and purpose while you're starving to death."

<Sorry, I just felt like messing with 'em. Just a little bit, for old times' sake.>

Dispatch laughed. "I could, pretty easily. Hell, I could probably do it in one or two sentences."

"Shut up, I needed an excuse to put the tray down."

"Why would you need an excuse to...forget it, I'm not about to question your logic."

"What logic?"

"Why would you need an excuse to put down a tray?"

Naomi smiled and said,"Thanks!"


After they finished their food, Sammy began to think. Why would there be a castle here?

"...Sam, I thought I'd mention that there's a town nearby. You probably just diodn't notice it from the front gate."

<For the record, the castle was there before the organization. It just got used as their base of operations when Xeromus founded it.>
