Org. XIV (story)

<Finally someone does "that", lol. Never thought someone would attempt to either. "Oxthmas gives What's Up a thumbs up.">

Daniel said, "Well..." he thought for a moment before continuing. "If you need money, I'd be willing to help. I mean...it's not like I use it for much. I live in a cave, so I don't have to pay rent, electricity, water...And I hunt for food, so...what's there to pay for?"

<And Daniel is unfazed. >

Lance had moved from the crowded infirmary to the throne room when Thalia, "Where've you been all day?" She asked inquisitively.

"Town to pick up books, fought an eldritch abomination that had posessed Enixo. He's Eoni now." Lance explained.

"Oh, so no progress on your white magic?" She asked.

Lance shook his head, "Eh, not really. Aleri helped me pick out some decent books to help though."

Thalia nodded, "Oh cool, did you stop by Daidara's too?"

Lance smiled, "Yeah, he's a genius. That material you gave him? He made this from it." He pulled the Cosmic Arts amulet from his shirt and showed it to her.

Thalia smirked, "Impressive."

Lance nodded, "Yep, he's making another for you. I put out a special order on it."

Thalia hugged the young man, "You are HORRIBLE at surprising me."

Lance smiled and returned the embrace, "I know."

Aleri slipped out of the room the second Sylvia had stopped paying attention to him. "I wonder if she was even listening, near the end... She really doesn't understand her situation." Then, a look of horror crossed his face. "Or, maybe... she knows all about it, but she's so tough she was able to stare down Rexial and force everybody into submission with her sheer presense!"

<Um, I'm confused. Who's wearing a schoolgirl outfit, What'sUp? Her name wasn't in that paragraph at all.>

Archer glanced at Aleri with a bemused look as he slipped out of the room. "I swear he's got attention deficit syndrome," she remarked with a grin as she strode out. Maybe she could find some clues on how tough some of these guys really were.

<Unfazed is the understatement of the year>

Herr Roland, still on one of the rooftops of Castle Willright, yawned. Standing up, he stretched for a moment and turned to face Oxthmas.

"Well, till Gunamnex shows up, I'll be in town."

With that, Roland did a quick salute, leaning sideways to the point where he fell off the roof. He landed on his hands, flipping forward onto his feet, adjusting his outfit afterwards. Departing the Castle, he made his way towards the town tavern. He was his usual cheerful self now, greeting those who passed him by.

Oxthmas, watching Roland go on his merry way, shrugged.

"He's going to drink the tavern dry" he said sarcastically.

"Should I call and warn them in advance?" Pheonix asked teasingly from his side.

A sound of heels clacking against carpeted floor echoed in the castle corridors as Sylvia walked her path, a conflicted look on her features.

Is it really true? If so, then....I've just lost everything. Not that I had much to begin with...

"Urgh...this is infuriating!" She roared, turning to punch the wall in a sudden moment of blind rage, jumping backwards with a yelp at the sharp stabbing pain in her hand. "That...was pretty stupid," she grumbled, a dark expression clouding her features as she nursed her throbbing hand. "Ugh...I need to go lie down...", she sighed, her mind still reeling from the truth of her predicament as she headed in the direction of her allocated room, rubbing her injured hand gingerly as she did so.

"No, Lance will hear about it soon enough" Oxthmas said with a smirk.

Pheonix giggled, "I'm sure he'll be pleased to know that the tavern needs another supply ship when they just got restocked yesterday."

<I actually wanted to do "that", for a while. It was first thought of before the Mark of Mastery exam. Homura goes to the item shop where his crush works, she climbs and ladder, and bam. :p

As for who she is, we'll see soon.>

"Items and acceseries?" She said laugh before jumping off the roof.

"You're too kind, I'll take whatever you can spare". She said, contradicting herself a little.

Daniel laughed. "What use do I have for those when I have healing spells and..." He trailed off. He'd been about to reveal his secret. Of course, all his friends knew he was a werewolf, but telling some random person? Ugh, get a grip, Daniel! he thought. He pulled out a munny pouch and tossed it to the girl. "Here."

"Thank you!" She said sing-songy.

She leaned it and gave him a quick peck on
his cheek.

"You so cute and nice". She shot a smile. "Anxield".

Archer walked down the corridor, mentally noting the room she was allocated as she glanced out the window. A strange land again. She really shouldn't be melancholic anymore. Turning, she spotted the girl who had ran off earlier and waved.

"You look like hell, girl," she remarked bluntly.

Daniel blinked several times. "What--I--you--when...Who are you?" And how did she know his Nobody? Daniel was now suspicious.

Sylvia paused on the way to her room, a cool, collected female voice cutting through the haze of her anger and confusion. "I've looked worse," she shrugged, turning her head to look at the white-haired woman. "And it's 'Sylvia', not girl."

She gave a cute little laugh at the boy's confusion. "Not so bright in that cave of yours, huh, Anxield?" She said, meaning more then just his cave. She walked around to the side of the shop.

"I'll say," Archer walked over, frowning as she stood only slightly taller than Sylvia. Too bad her growth stopped a long time ago... "So... Sylvia, right?" she trailed off uncomfortably. "Oh hell. I didn't know you thought your world was still intact. So yeah."

Daniel blinked again. She was leaving. No way. He had to get answers. He followed her around the side of the shop.
<I don't want to say more because I'm pretty sure you'll say she disappeared...>

"It's ok. I don't care about my stinking planet anyway." Sylvia replied moodily, crossing her arms with a slight wince. "All I ever wanted to do was leave it, so it ain't a big deal."

She looked over Archer carefully. "What should I call you, anyways? Since I figure we're in the same boat and all."

"Archer," the white-haired girl replied. "That's what I prefer to be known as, anyway." Archer tossed her hair over her shoulder with a sigh. "What was your world like? Or planet, since you bothered to use that term. Intergalatic travel common there?"

"Archer? Hell of a name." Sylvia shook her head in amusement, before focusing on her next point. "'Course we had intergalactic travel. We were leaps and bounds ahead of most planets, from what I heard. Not that we could reach many worlds. Our tech weren't quite as advanced as we would have liked." She shook her head. "Still. None of that matters now, anyways. All I have to do is get myself a ship, and fulfil my dream. That's what matters." She fixed a curious stare on the white-haired girl. "What about you? You got a partnership going with that Nick guy, right?"

"Ah... A dream..." Archer trailed off, looking up at the ceiling. "Dangerous things, dreams." She smiled winsomely to herself before focusing on Archer's question. "Partnership? Eh, I doubt he sees it that way. He's probably pretty strong, just needs someone to watch his back while he recuperates. So I'm getting paid to do just that."

Lance and Thalia were now sitting in the throne room talking. Maya had bored herself within Lance's shadow for the time being and left discovering Sylvia and Archer talking. She spun and she changed forms to mimic Slyvia. The only immediate difference were her eye color as she walked up behind the girl, copying her mannerisms with almost perfect timing.

Nick exited the infirmary and found the two as he gave himself a tour of the halls, "Um, miss... Sylvia wasn't it? Why are there two of you?"

"He's paying you? Huh." Sylvia shook her head in amusement. "So you're like a bodyguard then. Nice."

Sylvia paused as she turned her head to see Nick approach in their direction, raising her eyebrows at Nick's question incredulously. "Uh, sounds like you really hit your head, kid. You seeing things in double vision now?"
