I am aware of that, What'sUp, but do you have a better idea? Assume the guy isn't clued in on it, and thinks it's just a fairy tale, or it's ceremonious. Or, let Maverick give in to his urges and have Roland do it. While I haven't established the EXACT reasoning for it in my head, it makes sense that a warrior from the Keyblade War would tell a story that technically is about said war and its aftermath at a wedding. Somehow. Maybe I'm too tired, and I should be staying up playing Cave Story this late. Bah, it's just as good as advertised... now if only I didn't suck at playing it.

Maverick, I'm noticing a strange trend with your urges. We actually tend to take them as serious ideas. And they tend to be preferable. Hm. Well, either way, it sounds like a good idea. Slight problem: weren't the Observers up on one of their invisible platforms just now, above the Chapel? If this happened, how did Roland get down there so fast, and disguise himself? ...Who am I kidding? It's Roland, of course he can do that. It's pretty impressive.

So, objections?

Actually, they are inside the hall, atop a marble ledge of some sort, looking down at the chaos below currently.

Ahem "clears throat", let me take a crack at it (mind you I haven't eaten today and am thus not thinking clearly).

Love, a force that coexists alongside light and darkness.  It burdens us with unrelenting emotions, yet grants us the full expression of our hearts.  As old as time itself, it drifts on within our hearts, regardless of who we are.  Human, sentient beings, heartless, nobodies, all have some connection to this force.  How each individual decides to use their love is an extension of their heart, mind, and soul.

Today, we bear witness to two individuals who have decided to use their love to strengthen one another, to be intricately linked throughout eternity.  From today to the end of time, through trials unimaginable in scale, their love for each other will be tested.  They will succeed however, for today, their oaths of love stand as a testament to their devotion to one another, to support each other even when the ground they stand on is shaky.

<Either have oaths made here or just move on>

Herr Zane, do you take Sally to be your wife, your eternal love, and the keeper of your heart?
<Cue Zane trying to mumble yes, lol>

Frau Sally, do you take Zane to be your husband, your eternal love, and the keeper of your heart?
<Cue Sally's reply>

Does anyone have the rings? <cue ring ceremony or whatnot>

Now, please extend a hand forward, both of you, to receive the blessing over the candles.  <Roland summons a goblet of water and pours it over the paired set of hands.>

May this simple act serve as a proclamation of your love, a love so strong as to snuff out the flames of all that stands against you.

While I must ask that anyone who opposes this union speak now, I do not see anyone who could have a strong enough desire to in this room, nor this universe, therefore and without further ado:

By the power invested in me by the worlds, by the gracefulness of fate and time, I pronounce you man and wife.  You may kiss the bride.

<I seriously would think that Sally would grab Zane for the kiss, given their history, lol>

May I humbly be the first to introduce to you all Mr. and Mrs. <What is their last name going to be?>

Feel free to adapt this to anyone else who should be the officiator.

@Maverick: I think it's prefect, and we should go with it, but that's Yusei and What'sUp's decision. I imagine they'll agree, though.

@Fate/Gstol: Hm? I didn't include it because Magic isn't actually quite fundamental enough. Just having magic and none of the other major themes is not enough for Kingdom Hearts' tone and feel, which is probably why your characters are so alien. That or the alien technology, and the Observer-wannabe behavior. Popping up out of nowhere, reading peoples' minds - though actually, I'm willing to bet that the Observers don't actually read minds, they just know how people think well enough to figure it out easily, which is much more awesome than mind reading - which I'll admit that Aleri and Rexial do, but they make a point of restraining the urge to do so now. They also tend to GIVE AWAY CRITICAL INFORMATION by accident. XGeass's character kinda turned on Al because Felix had to try and make an edgy one-liner over the phone.

But that's beside the point, and it's turning into a rant on why your characters are the odd men out among the cast. Partially because they're from another story, themselves, but again, I digress.

No, I wouldn't say that Magic is derived from Light/Darkness. Otherwise, how would Nobodies use it? Magic, I think, comes from Memory, actually. That or the Heart, but that makes it complicated where Nobodies are involved. If you've seen the Final Fantasy Ultimania, you'll notice that Memory is actually a form of power in EVERY Final Fantasy world. In Kingdom Hearts, it's safe to say that it works the same way. It makes sense, doesn't it? As you gain more memories of battle, fighting hordes of enemies, you gain power, or EXP. In some cases, you learn more magic by casting existing magic, gaining more memories of that spell. Blue Mages learn by being HIT by it, gaining the memory of that spell and being able to use it. In Kingdom Hearts, you learn Magic by defeating enemies with an affinity for them, and power up those spells the same way. You gain memories of those elements, and with the power of memory, get to manipulate them.

It makes sense in another way, too. If you study magic, you remember it. Magic comes from memory.

TL;DR: Magic comes from Memory, not Light/Darkness.

I think it sounds fuckin' fantabulous, Mav.
Although I think we've come to the conclusion that none of the characters really have last names, so you could substitute "Mr. And Mrs. XYZ" with something along the lines of "Zane and Sally, now united as one" or something.

Billy the Kid.

Superman

Minato Arisato

Randall O'Hara

In case you're wondering who that last one is...and you're probably NOT, he's a character from a one-act play me and a friend wrote for a project. Detective with mild brain damage. And by "brain damage" I mean a weird sort of amnesia caused when he was shot in the head. And didn't die. Because...um...my friend wrote this, not me. I came up with a small bit of the dialogue and I was one of the three actors, but that's really it...

If extend that to Synthisle NPCs, then we get access to the cast of Persona 4, but I dunno if that helps.

It would be kinda funny for Minato to make a cameo, but we ARE going for seriousness, I think. I think. Don't hold me to that.

Hmmm... what about Dante? Among the audience, the following people are confirmed:

Vita
Thalia
Maya
Rexial
Aleri
Dante

Xeromus already did his bit, Aleri and Rexial aren't really a perfect fit for the position of ringbearer, Vita Thalia and Maya are all girls, and I think it's supposed to be a guy. That leaves Dante, out of the people who are definitely there. So, Dante can definitely do it. Aleri or Rexial would have an awkward "Aw, crap, I forgot I was supposed to do that!" moment before doing it, but they could still do it. Considering that Aleri has been on the wrong end of more than one of Sally's moments of rage, he might be asked to make up for it, or ignored for the same reason. Rexial has technically known both Sally and Zane for longer than Aleri. Dante is a young teen, which seems like the archetypical thing to do.

So, the choices are like this:

Aleri: Has had some tense moments with Sally.

Rexial: Has known both the Bride and Groom for the longest.

Dante: Is a young boy, suitable to be the Ringbearer.

Minato: Would make a kickass cameo.

Other: Find another organization member or something, if you want.
