Well if you want to be technical he is a Malfested because it was the Soul Edge that made him that way, but the way it effected him made him Vampiric. So is yes he isn't a "traditional" vampire but that still doen't mean he isn't one.

Well that is correct haar but like I said is switched multiple times within the movie if you pay close attention so truthfully both are correct.

Saying Raph isn't a vampire is like saying Cervantes wasn't a zombie. I mean just look at this guy.

Like I said, vampiric in nature. Answer these questions though, does he need to drink the blood of the living in order to survive? Does he turn to dust in sunlight?

Not sure about him needing to drink blood to survive since it was never stated, and no to the later but at the same time alot of Vampires from Japan don't.

Yea see, your never going to persuade me on this then. Fans of soul calibur have only assumed he's become a vampire, until the game makers themselves acknowledge it, I will only ever call him vampiric in nature. So we're just going to have to agree to disagree on this. Because if I had to define a vampire to a singular trait it would be subsisting on the life essence(usually blood) of living(sometimes undead) beings.

I'd have to agree on that. Drinking blood is the defining factor. Or absorbing souls, or something of that nature.
