Org. XIV (story)

The scale glowed and then disappeared. Behind it was a room, inside that was an orb and a stone wall with the roman numeral two etched in the limestone. "Correct" Leo said as he stood up and entered the hidden room. "Hold out Broken Soul, this orb will power it up even more" Leo said picking it up, grinning.

"Yes, sir." Aleri followed the instructions, feeling power beginning to flow from within the Keyblade. "Hm... Definitely not as powerful as TELOS. Of course, the lightweightedness of it is kinda relieving after hefting such a huge weapon all the time. And it's stronger than my other Keyblades."

Leo pressed the orb into the second notch in the hilt, the keyblade glowed blue for a moment then it faded. "Okay, now for the wall test"

"That sounds... ominous. Am I going to have flashbacks to the first time I saw Star Wars Episode IV, with the trash compactor scene?"

"Leo blinked. "You know of the 5th level test?" He asked then chuckled. "Break down this limestone wall, its like the first one but it can't be broken so quickly

Aleri cracked his knuckles. "As in, it takes multiple hits? And I assume the weak point will change periodically?"

"Bingo, and you also have to use what?" He tested Aleri since strength alone couldn't break the wall

"'Focus.' Who are you, a modern game dev? I'm not five. I caught on to the whole 'Focus' thing quickly enough. Thanks for making sure, though. I mean, it must be confusing, what with me constantly asking stuff that's obvious to you, then complaining that you're babying me." Aleri lashed out at the wall with Broken Soul. "I thnk I'm improving. I was able to focus even while talking to you. Say something, ask a question, I want to see if I can do it while holding a conversation."

"Okay....in your opinion, what is the true meaning of power, and how can one show it" leo said as the wall chipped slightly but didn't crack like before

"Well..." Aleri swung at a different part of the wall. "Power is subjective. As a man... monkey... Saiyan... once said-"


"POWER LEVELS ARE BULL****!"

"-So it's not power that matters. STRENGTH is what's important. Strength of Heart, more specifically. The strength of a Heart that can overcome pain, loss, and fighting, but never lose the ability to care." He struck again, in yet another place. "Power is just about how much energy your body holds, and it's mostly relative to your enemies. You look like a weakling if you're up against an unstoppable force, but you look like a master when you fight something weak, like Shadows." This time, he had to jump to rech the spot before striking it.

Each strike brought another chip or gash in the stone. "Hm and for each master or warrior there is a reason to fight, something that drives them to overcome that powerful opponent or to move above fighting the weak, single-minded heartless, correct? If I may ask, what is your reason to go into battle?"

Aleri struck again. "What indeed? Part of me wants a sense of accomplishment. Another part of me enjoys fighting. But overall... I just want a normal life. Of course, that won't ever happen until all the bad guys are wiped out. Evil things are drawn inexplicably to me. Well, not so inexplicably, since I know that it's because of the Keyblade..."

Again, he hit the wall. "But I'm not about to just bow out. Even if I could, I would never leave it up to the others to clean up the mess the Heartless, the Ravain, and Organization XIII all made. And there's... that X-Sigma. He's impossibly strong... and I just have the feeling something awful is going to happen. I have to be ready to stop him, whatever he's doing."


<Thought I forgot X-Sigma? Not a chance. That guy's death is going to trransition into the two-year fast-forward. And I have my part of the Final Battle with him etched out in my head.>
<Yeah. Vegeta in TFS 26, about 45 seconds in. And you know what? That is the EXACT point in DBZ where power levels are just dropped. They don't even try putting it in numbers anymore. Team Four Star is awesome.>

Leo nodded with a bit of a smile. "Very admiral of you, and also something that with give your training the bonus to Broken Soul's power" The Wall started to develop various sized cracks in it's surface.

"That's reassuring..." Aleri said as he stood back. He started forward, jumping and slashing in a seven-hit combo against the wall, finishing with a particularly powerful strike. And not once did he miss a weak point. He dropped to the ground. "I think I'm getting pretty good, considering that I just figured out the weak points' positions given such a minute period of time, hit them, and repeated the process several times in rapid succession. At this point, it's a viable combat skill."

"Against certain things and opponents, yes, but remember, not every thing is a walk in the park, nor is it a highway to hell, and after the Wall comesthe Domi again." He said. The wall as full of cracks except for one small portion like it was stronger that the other points

"Well... they're no match for me anymore. They weren't any good against Rex, either, but he's already mastered the whole 'Focus' thing." This wall isn't going to last much longer. It won't do any good to hit the weakened parts. It's fairly obvious... This undamaged part has never been one of the weak points. Plus, when I focus, it confirms it as the weak point. Well, here goes...! He focused his energy into a single blow and struck at the wall again. "Bring it on!"

<Two-year? Huh. I thought it was going to be one year. It's not a problem or anything, so long as I can get my plot in first, I was just addressing this because I'm bored as hell.>

The blow caused the wall to shatter into smaller peices than before. Leo clapped, slowly then started to walk ibto the maze of tunnels again. The Domi were waiting.

Aleri shouldered Broken Soul and followed. "Time to pay 'em back for about ten minutes ago."

"Thirty minutes" He corrected as they entered a vast circular room, it had a high ceiling and a bowl type floor. Ever so often a Domi was heard scratching up passed the side of the walls or running through tunnels. "Okay your goal is to enter the very core of the Domi nest, but this is their full territory and I cannot assist you more than one time. If you think you need more time, I will not regard you as weak, if you wish to jump right in, I will be waiting on the inside. Oh and DC's and magic are blocked here, being a sacred ground."

"So, I can't use any Magic... Of course, I never use Corridors in fights. And I wouldn't run away. Of course, I shouldn't be too reckless. I'd better use some White Magic and heal up before I go in; the ones I encountered before I was ready shredded me up a little." He set about casting Cure2, then jumped in.

"Let's see what these punks think of me now." He casually stabbed his weapon into the darkness, having sensed something there. Something malicious. Definitely a Domi.

There was a slight yelp then a furious growl, Now it was a pissed Domi. The invisible beast lauched itself at Aleri rather recklessly. But what would one expect from a tactless predator. Another rose its invisible mall to chop Aleri's legs off.

<2 Year fast forward? What? Also, can Nathan and other characters be included in the battle against the "X-sigma?">
"Alright then, cmon Fritz." Nathan said. He looked at his PDA and noticed he could see Lance now. He and Fritz boarded the gummi ship, and Nathan set it to auto-pilot for CA. "Let's see, what's in the app store... Oh cool Angry Dusks! I love this game!" Nathan said, proceeding to download it and play it while Fritz was deep in his thoughts.

<Two-years is fine with me. I'm sure we should give an insight on what happened between that time with our respective characters at that time.

Now, to make EVERYONE'S future. PM much?>
