"If you're from Earth, then yeah, dragons are freakin' everywhere."

"So two rooms are off-limits....that makes me want to check" I mumbled into my work.

Balaur heard him and said, "Yeah. What's up with that, why're they out?"

Nicholas put up four fingers, "One's Maria's room, you go in there you'll get shot or possibly disintegrated dependso n whats she feels like, two's the ammo closet, the bullets only work with Maria's weapons so going in there will probably also get you shot, three's Eric's room, the other guy staying here and fourth's my room I don't really care if you go in just no bunking in there and in response to Sarah's question is that yes, there is a seperate bathroom in each room."

" Again, in the corner of the world I'm from, we never see any." Sarah said scratching behind her ear. "The elders of my tribe always told us dragons went extinct years ago."

"Ammo closet? I thought you didn't use bullets! That's what you told me...And your elders are either wrong or lying. We have to live in mountains or we'll be hunted by knights for sport. We haven't exactly spread back to all parts of the world since knighthood dropped out though."

"I don't really care whether they were lying or wrong....right now I just need a shower." Sarah said as she headed up to the third floor in search of a room and shower.

Balaur looked at the staircase. "What's her deal?"

"All of us except for Maria, she uses a gun because she doesn't use an evoker to summon, she's a machine with a personality essentially, an automaton with a soul." Nick said as a young man with short blond hair walked down the stairs, he was dressed entirely in a black and red track suit he spoke to Nick as he came down the stairs, "Nick? Well, I'll be damned! You seem to be doin' well, quite the group you've gathered... are they trust worthy?" A thick southern accent could be heard in his voice.

Balaur growled, "It hardly makes a differenece. Even if I wasn't you'd stand no chance." Balaur changed as much as he could in the restricted area, then back again. Even being a relatively small dragon, he didn't fit in here. "I have friends in firey places. You wouldn't beat me."

The young man laughed, "Perhaps not me but I'm positive that Maria could more than kick your ***."
Nicholas turned to Balaur, " Yeah, did a mention she has an anti-matter cannon? Anyways, you two stop your fighting, we're all friends here, fellow survivors. Eric meet Balaur. Balaur, Eric." Nicholas introduced the two.
Eric shrugged as he walked the rest of the way down the stairs, "You're right though hot head might want to cool it. Most won't take threats like that so lightly."

"They shouldn't. I was serious."

Eric nodded, "Hmm, point taken. But you really should be careful, with the kind of nuts that are out there roaming about your powers might not be enough."

As Sarah lathered up in the shower, she scrubbed the large patch of dirt on her left shoulder, revealing the red dragon tattoo that hid underneath it. "Why did they have to do that to him?" , she thought to herself eying the tattoo. "It's not fair," she muttered, banging her fist against the shower wall as a single tear fell to the shower floor amidst the running water.

"I can handle anything. I'm a dragon. When Fire doesn't work, I use Wind and my claws."

Feeling refreshed, and clean for the first time in weeks, Sarah stepped out of the shower, toweled off and dressed. "Well that was refreshing," she said to herself. Combing her hair she spied the red dragon tattoo, now completley visible, in the mirror, she wiped away a single tear as if it were a passing thought. Deciding to see what the voices she heard below were getting on about she headed back down stairs. "I wonder what ol' dragon-boy will think when he sees this tattoo," she thought to herself. "And can I bear to tell him the truth?" she pondered as she entered the main area where the others were located.

Balaur looked up. "Oh, you done already? Huh. Fast."

"Of course I'm trustworthy. Anyways, Nick, is this Maria the automaton that you wanted me to fix?"

<Sorry that I haven't been online. *bangs router a couple of times*>

Joseph stood behind Balaur, taking in all the information possible. He noticed Sarah appear, and with the image of a dragon tattooed onto her shoulder.
"Huh?"

Sarah glanced at Joseph out of the corner of her eye, "What are you looking at?"

Balaur saw the tatoo now as well. "Hey, where'd you get that?"

I looked at the tatoo. "Interesting choice of tattoo" I said

"Not exactly my choice." Sarah sighed out loud, she knew this was going to come up eventually. "Better to get it out now, than later," she thought to herself. Knowing it could be a long story she found a place to sit and made herself comfortable. "When I said there weren't any dragons where I'm from earlier, .....I lied. There are plenty. My tribe lives in a remote mountainous region, and we have this coming of age ritual. We're required to hunt down and kill a dragon, and then to finalize the ceremony we have to.." she sighed turning her head so as not to look at Balaur, "...eat it's heart." "But when it came my turn..."
