I felt a small pressure in my shoulder blades. 'Not now' I thought. "You What?" I asked trying to foucus

"We're required to hunt, kill and eat a dragon's heart. Sorry, dragon-boy." She said glancing at Balaur. "But as I was saying when it came my turn," she continued on with her story. "I was out on the hunt tracking a dragon, when I...encountered a half-breed like him," Sarah said jerking a thumb in Balaur's direction. "At first it was just a meeting here and there away from the prying eyes of my village, but as it went on, I fell in love with him." "Then one day....my village us found and the worst happened." Sarah said choking back tears.

Balaur was looking disgusted. "What'd they do?"

"I have an idea on what they did" I said. The pressure in my shoulder blades was growing, soon i'll either be heating up or growing fangs and horns.

"So do I, I just want to check." Balaur noticed Leo seemed to be under pressure. "Hey, you okay?"

Sarah gulped, the memory vivid in her mind, "They chained him down, cut off his wings, then.....then...they cut open his chest and force fed him his own heart." "And they made me watch the whole thing from inside a cage, I couldn't do anything to stop them." "Afterwards they branded me with the RED dragon tattoo, the mark of an exile, not that I ever want to go back to that despicable tribe anyways."

I didn't answer because a raven black wing shot out of my back, then a leathery bat wing. Next I grew horns between my natural spiky hair, then fangs. "Crap...well now I am" I said before sighing. "I knew he'd die one way or another...a second exile huh? good to know"

"Okay, that's more than sick." Balaur was furious. "Isn't even the existence of half-dragons enough to say dragons are NOT evil?! If they were, why in HELL would a human mate with one?"

"Very good question...and yet why does your tribe try to hunt them"

Nathan's image was flickering between himself and a more dark-version of himself all the time since when they got off. When it started staying as the dark-version, he started to run to a room. "Shit! Not now!" He said, taking out a small capsule with pills labeled specially for his condition of being a split-soul. He popped one of the pills in his mouth but continued running to his room.

"I explained that very thing to my father, --dragon-boy--, the chief of the village, but then the other elders cast him into exile. They're too mired in their stupid traditions to see the need for change." Sarah sighed, "My father was the one person in the village who believed me when I told them dragons weren't so bad. Now I don't even know where he is..."

Balaur said, "Well, I know what I'm doing when we're done in LA."

"And that would be?" I prompted trying to fold my wings to my back.

"You'll see. Hey what's going on with your back?" asked Balaur; he'd seen Leo trying to fold down his wings.

"Dragoon thing" I said vaguely before I folded my wings. "Thats better...until I get a new leather jacket anyway"

"Wow, thanks for being so specific."

"your welcome" I said before combing my hair over my horns.

"What exactly is a dragoon anyway?"

"It's a hybrid, A bird,bat,human,dragon,elemental...oh yeah and 1/10th darkness and 4/7th light" I explained

"And I though I was a strange mix."

"From what i've seen in video games, it's a man given the power of the dragon..." Joseph said.

"Video games don't give backstory on classes..."

"What about the KH franchise?"

"Do you see a class system in Kingdom Hearts?"

"hmmm....I think it was a Heartless class system"
