Ventus' Zombieland

Sarah felt a warm aura about her as she was jostled about as though someone was carrying her. Carrying? Opening her eyes she saw that Orpheus was carrying her, observing her surroundings she pondered out loud, "Where are we?"

"Sure. Anything to get away from those sick people..."

Orpheus noticed the girl wake up, "So, you've awakened, it'd best you don't walk for now with how close to full infection you were. We're in Chicago if you need to now, my user's home town. <he refering to Nicholas as he's the one who summoned him>" He says his voice a calm monotone.
Nicholas looked at the girl slightly confused, "You have no idea that we're in the middle of a zombie outbreak?"
The girl responded, "No the last hting I remember is- " She cut herself off realizing what happened, "Do you have someplace safe, i'll explain there. My name's Rachel."

Balaur said, "There's definitely a safe place, I just don't know where. Nick?"

"Chicago, huh?" Sarah asked. Hearing another girls voice, Sarah turned her head to look. "So, it's not all guys in your group after all? This safe place, does it have a shower? I could really use one."

"Doubt it. Last one didn't. But we'll see when we get there!"

Nicholas laughed, "Actually this one does, it's my old dorm. The entire building was built to prevent attacks from Shadows, something that you guys don't want to know about, but anyways the place is built stone solid and has running water and the like. It'll probably be the most luxiourious place we'll stay on our little adventure." Nick said as he started to walk and Rachel and Orpheus, with Sarah in tow, followed him.

Balaur followed too. "Me, I don't set much store by water for cleaning. I just scorch the dirt."

"Excuse me for not being half-dragon" Sarah scoffed at him. "Is it much further Nick?"

"What'd I do?"

"Nothing, besides scare me half to death."

" 'bout a quarter mile, we'll be there in a couple minutes." Nick replied as he continued to lead the group through the nearly deserted streets the few zombies that were there were destroyed by Alice as she patrolled about a hundred yards ahead of the group.

"How'd I do that?" asked Balaur, not realising he's the only half-breed among their group.

"Flying up next to me while I was concentrating on that THING that was chasing the train....that's how."

"I seem to remember you shooting me."

"We're here." Nick said ignoring the two's bickering as he opened a door on the front of a three story building.

"BECAUSE you scared me." Sarah barked back at Balaur. "Think you can set me down so I can go get a shower Orpheus?"

"You say that like you've never seen a dragon flying before."

"Well, obviously I haven't." Sarah said as she rolled her eyes.

"What do you mean obviously?"

"Ugggh your such an idiot. I've neeever seen a dragon flyyying before. Heck I've never seen a DRAGON before." Sarah spat out sarcastically.

I pulled out some metal scraps again and began the process of biulding a gun. "I've seen alot of dragons on my travels and brawled alot of monsters...and others."

Orpheus set down Sarah gently standing behind her in case her legs couldn't support her weight yet.
Nicholas nodded as he walked in and took a deep breath, "Still smells like home." He smiled as he walked around the place then paused, "Wonder if the others ever came back..." He looked at a sign-in sheet on the counter as he wrote his own name then smiled, "Looks like we've got some company guys, an old friend of mine, the one who gave me these." Nick said holding up the tenderizers, "He's got a persona like me so he probably is already on his way down. You guys can make yourselves at home, girl's rooms are third floor, guy's second just stay away from the end rooms on either floor. There are two at the end on each floor, one left and one right. Those are off-limits."

"Deprived life if you never seen a dragon. They're everywhere."

" Are the showers in the individual rooms or is it a communal shower?" Sarah asked as she braced herself against Orpheus' shoulder while she got her footing. "Not where I'm from Dragon-boy."
