Psh, screw the barrier. I can handle that kinda thing easy. Al can use his magic skillz to handle it himself, and Lance should be fine. Watch, I'll prove- Nevermind, keep your eyes on your enemy. He looks tough.
Rexial smirked and flickered behind one of the Rooks. "So long, tank." He jabbed his blade into the eye, ignoring the barrier.
I specialize in bypassing defense. Don't be surprised.
Aleri had managed to neutralize the barrier of another and stab through the eye. He must've been listening to the mindlinked conversation. "Yeah! 'tanks' for the tip!"
"No, just... no. No stupid puns. Lance! You think you can take one of 'em? 'Cuz I could probably kill 'em all! Want me to leave one for you?"

<skillz: Because poor literacy is KEWL>

A Bishop with wings flew down and pucked Aleri off the ground.

Al stopped in midair and used Reflega to create a barrier to prevent further attacks while Rexial performed another assassination technique on the attacking Bishop. <Heluva run-in sentence.> "NOBODY ****s with me, OR the other me." He whispered menacingly as he pulled out the blade.
"Who's next?! ...No volenteers? Okay, I'll pick."
In a flash, three more were down. Al was slower at defeating them, since he had to chant a spell and charge every time. Rex just had to stab them in the eye.

<I probably never established the fact that Al's a battle-mage. Nor that Rexial isn't exactly a magical prodigy. Not before now.>
<Oh, and sorry for making Rexial a badass. But he just got back, so could you give him a little break? He hasn't badassed anything since GameFAQs.>

Dispatch kept stabbing things as he began to sing "Minority"

Oxthmas- He gets be show his badassery! Yeah! Finally!
Rexial- He's finally back, and he's badass!
...Can you really choose? Rexial's an old friend who hasn't done that in a while, Oxthmas has never done this before. It's impossible to choose. I would come up with an example, but the first was morbid, and I couldn't quite formulate the second. So screw it. Maybe Rex and Oxthmas should use a Dual Tech or something to multiply their badassery tenfold. I mean, two badasses doing a combination attack? What words could describe it? Oh yeah, the ones I've been overusing: BAD ASS.>

Lance slammed his fiat to the ground, "My turn!"

(Controlled Surge. Soren: Aeon Rain Lv. 5)

Blue glowing arrows surged from the ground and homes in on the creature's critical points killing hundreds before they dissipated and Lance summoned He'll Hound who in a mighty leap landed near Soren protecting him from nearby Ravain as he fought the unknown man.
<one thing I never explained, Lance's hounds run on the energy of his keyblades so when they're around he can't use the one the hound is associated with I.e. Elysium and glory hound, Asphodel and Abyssal Hound, and Tartarus and Hell Hound.>

<Oxthmas's army is holding off a separate Ravain army while everyone else is fighting the main force btw>

<First part here before Pheonix's arrival>

The two armies met with a thunderous clap as metal met hardened spikes and armor. The Ravains attempt to push through, but the Jackpots stand firm, using their dispersal and trans-formative abilities to match the Ravain in combat. Oxthmas darts between the lines, dice flinging outward from his hands. Groups of Ravain are sliced, frozen solid, and blasted apart by his trifecta of dice types.

<Some time later>

The battle rages on, as the two sides remain locked in combat, the battle line a blur. As each Jackpot and Ravain is slain, they reform almost instantly, leaving neither side any advantage in numbers. Oxthmas, having contained a group of Ravain long enough for his Jackpots to take over, begins to head towards another group. A massive Ravain akin to a darkside appears suddenly, its fist heading straight towards him. Before Oxthmas can react, Pheonix appears beside him, dragging a gunblade. Firing off a bolt that shreds the Ravain's hand, she smiles and says something as the Ravain recoils back in shock. Upon seeing her smile, Oxthmas feels something pulse within him, almost like a heart. He smiles back and replies to her words.

"The game resumes with two then. Lets go!"

Oxthmas begins to walk towards the Massive Ravain, which attempts to use its remaining hand to fire pulses of energy at him. He sidesteps the blasts casually, his dress shoes making a clicking sound with each dodge. Oxthmas puts his right hand out forward, three large red dice shooting out from the hand. The dice lodge into the Ravain's chest and explode, flames spreading out from the blast zone and cover the Ravain in searing heat. The flames die out quickly though, as the Ravain slams its sole fist into the ground, causing a blood red pool to form. Ravain pawns appear and attempt to attack Pheonix. Oxthmas backflips towards her, firing off crystal dice at the pawns, slicing them to ribbons. Before the pawns can reform, Oxthmas freezes them via a toss of blue dice. He lands on his feet facing Pheonix, his back to the Massive Ravain as it stands back up.

"There's a spot on the rear of it's head that's vulnerable. I'm quite sure you can make the shot." He says with a wink as the Ravain attempts to slam its fist at him again. Oxthmas reacts instantly, a wall of crystal dice appearing behind him and reflecting the blow. The Ravain rears back a bit from the force of the reflection and Oxthmas begins to dash to the right, causing the Ravain to turn and attempt to blast him again with energy pulses.


<Remember, this a separate battle in the east, away from the castle. Oxthmas is containing the Ravain forces, not killing them off.>

<And here I was thinking giant scarab beetles.>
Dispatch was blasted forward into a wall by a group that had decided to attack from behind. "Rotten ass-bags! No you don't!" He turned around and jumped into the middle of their group, still singing.

Stepped out of the line!
Like a sheep runs from the herd.

Soren dodged a few strikes beforekicking the blade out of the man hand, then he raised his blade to his thraot. "Who are you?" Soren demanded. The man laughed a cold bitter sound. "I'm nothing but a power source of anger and hate, my prince" he said then he kicked him in the chest before summoning more Ravain with a wave. "Tempest shall be risen from the darkness again just you wait" then he disappeared in a funnel cloud of red.

The Ravain that had attacked Dispatch from behind had been sliced in half. All of them, perfectly in half by the Super Saiyan. "Goodbye you sneaky piles of dog ****."

Nikki finally got to Sally and Zane.
"What just happened?"
Sally was hitting her fist against her forehead.
"Why, why, why, WHHHYYYY?" She yelled, with a very angered look upon her face.

Rexial glanced at Lance. "Awesome. You took out so many so fast... but it took a lot of energy, didn't it? I would cover for you, but you're already covering Soren, so I'll just..." He produced TWO MORE blades and cut a swathe through the Ravain.

<I thought of them as, like, CHESS PIECES. Well, before that, I thought of those Knight-like Heartless from Hollow Bastion in KHII.>

<There actually flesh-colored eyeless, mutants. They have a giant round mouth. But these go for the Pawn. Not sure about the others.>

<And I can't find the pic showing what they look like.>

"Calm down. What's the matter?" Zane asked.

"And what's going on here?" White asked no one in perticular.

<I thought those were the deatheaters?>

<I think you're right, Maverick. I think I remembered Eques describing the Pawns as being red, spherical creatures.>

<You'd be right Maverick, and it turns out that the pic I actually used is a vampire from the movie, Priest>

Lance shook his head, "No, I'm fine." He Was fighting with only Elysium to fight and still defeating his fair share of Ravain, "Power Surges like that don't take much out of me unless I use them repeatedly, I've used one and a half, I can still use three and a weaker one before I'm out of power."

Ending the song, Dispatch jumped high into the air and fired another blast, wiping the rest of his section clear away. Clapping the dust off his hands, he landed and said, "Phew. Now they're done, I can get some off everyone else's backs."

Lance dodged out of the way of a Ravain's attack and somehow found himself in a black arena, Thanatos with a devilish grin stepped into the ring, "Miss me?"

Lance smirked as he recalled Hell Hound gaining Tartarus back to his hand and changing Elysium into a twin of Tartarus, "Actually, I was kinda wishing you stayed gone."

"Well, you aren't getting rid of me that easily." And with that Thanatos summoned his blade in a blast of darkness and charged.
