Yep. Thing is, this means there won't be a 2.5... Which means we'll never see Final Mix for KHII. Damn them to hell. Plus, this means I'll want to get a PS4 AND PS3... Because of the lack of backwards compatibility...

We'll probably be getting a Wii U, which I kind of prefer. I mean, I've already got tons of Wii games piled up around the house, and the PS4 isn't even backwards compatible.
And if it WERE backwards compatible, it'd probably only be able to play PS3 games, which I have never owned.

...No, PS4 does NOT have backward compatibility. It'll do what the PS3 did; allow us to purchase older games from the network, rather than let us transfer data to it or just pop in a disk. You know, I really can't stand the idea of games that I don't get a physical copy of... downloaded games. They rub me the wrong way. I think I'll get over it eventually, since I use Steam, but...

I get the feeling I'll be one of the people watching the cutscenes to KHIII on youtube, then playing the game a year later when I get the system and game. It's what happened with the first two KH games for me... and with FFVII. And VIII. And IX. But NOT X.

You want another point in the PS4's favor? It's a hundred bucks cheaper than the XBox One. XBox One is $499, PS4 only $399. Though, I should point out, that's the same number in Euros. Ouch.

Ooh, really? I heard that PS4 was going to be more like $900... Man, am I glad that I have such sh*tty info sources outside of you guys! ...Granted, the same source that said PS4 would be that expensive kinda beat you guys to the punch by about three hours about KHIII.

Well, it was IGN, so it's not some asshole trolling, but IGN isn't exactly worth my trust. If they gave Sonic Unleashed and '06 the same rating, they're clearly stupid. Basically, the article said that it would have the same basic idea as the PS3: older games would only be playable through emulation, as the PS3 is incompatible with PS2, and PS4 is incompatible with PS3. Emulation would get around that problem, but you don't "emulate" a game right off the disk. Basically, any downloaded game that was for an older console, such as FFVII, is an emulation made to run on your new system.

This means that you have to re-buy any PS3 games you had in order to play them on PS4. I have no PS3 games anyway, so ha! But I want conclusive evidence that I can buy all the PS3 games I want on PS4 as downloaded titles before I decide to jump for it.

See, if only Sony could've made it all backwards-compatible... they would have a huge advantage! The PS2 is LEGENDARY for having a huge library of awesome games, including KINGDOM HEARTS I, II, Chain of Memories... And on PS3, 1.5 ReMIX! Buying a PS4 would basically open the gates for all that and more, if it were backwards-compatible. But, problem is, apparently they need to put a kind of chip into the new system that was present in the older system to play older games without emulation, so... that would apparently drive the cost up by a hundred dollars.

Still, a choice between Xbox One and Playstation 4 with backwards compatibility for the same price? I think we know which one we'd choose, KHIII or not.

Oh, geez, Yusei, you're funny. The animation is so awkward, the story is ridiculous, the voice acting is bad, and nothing is cohesive. Plus abysmal load times. And sad music when a guy is just staring at his son with a creepy-stalker expression. Phenominal...

I don't find the story to be "ridiculous" as you put it, Haar.
I found absolutely no fault in the voice acting.
And part of why the game is great is because of how cohesive it is.
