Dante took a step back and balled his fists. "Then let's start"

A smirk crossed his face. "Heh, I figured that you'd want to fight. Still... there's only so much you can learn in so little time. It's only been an hour or two. Trying to learn in the heat of battle while the basics aren't quite cemented in your mind won't push you ahead. It's like trying to climb stairs made of wet concrete; you'll just mess up the foundation, and fail to get anywhere. Still..."

Aleri slid into a combat stance, bending his joints, switching TELOS out for Broken Soul.

"...I guess I just can't say no to you sometimes!"

He shifted slightly, then cast Haste on himself before rushing at Aleri head on.

Aleri smirked again. "Clever one, aren't you?" He shot a Fire spell at Dante, leapt behind him, fired a Blizzard at him, then flickered out of view as a Thunder spell came down at him.

He dodge rolled to the side, avoiding all three attcks. "Three magic spells at once? No fair"

"C'mon, they weren't even that-"

The spells all collided inthe middle, creating a magical explosion.

"-strong. ...Of course, the result of merging all three elements could end up as a (relatively) weak Flare attack."

Aleri return to the visible spectrum above Dante, slashing down at him. "And you have no right to complain in a real fight! If I had gone all-out, or even fought normally, those would've been tier three spells, and you'd never have dodged. Plus, the resulting explosion would've been more akin to a REAL Flare..."

Dante flipped back, the blade swooping down nicking his shoulder. "Damn" he growled as he started to use a cure.

Aleri rushed at him, trying to knee him in the stomach. "Nice try, but you don't cast spells fast enough!"

Dante blocked it with his palms then aimed a fist at Aleri's face, the haste making it even faster. "Step off!"

"Urgkh!" Aleri reeled back from the attack, then quickly dropped and attempted to sweep Dante's legs out from under him, then swung down with Broken Soul.

He hit the ground and barrel rolled quickly then tried cast Slow on Aleri before he could recover his blade.

Aleri smirked. "Try this on for size... Quick!" He cast the spell, causing time to stop. ...Including his body. His mind worked just fine. "This'll stop everything long enough to perform two actions... but to stop time at all takes serious energy. Not the most practical spell, but some people exploit it to use powerful spells in succession."

He cast Dispel over the area, eliminating Slow and Haste, then cast another spell, surrounding himself with an eerie green glow...

Time resumed its normal flow, but Aleri seemed slightly more worn down from casting Quick. "Don't think I'm dumb enough to let you stack everything in your favor." He backflipped away, landing in a kneeling position. He pocketed his hands, standing up.

>...Wait, if he was holding a keyblade, how could he...?

Broken Soul came whizzing from behind Dante. It swiped past him, then spun around and struck at the boy again.

"Wind Raid."

The first strike caight him in the arm, the other one came just inches from his leg, but Dante tucked them to his chest. He winced before casting cure on himself nd flipped to his feet. "Ow" he grunted as he rushed him again

"Somewhat entertaining, do you agree?" Gunamnex said to Roland, who was leaning up against a tree. The two were but a few yards from the two youngster currently fighting, obviously hidden from view by Gunamnex's projections.

"The younger one needs more than a few scratches, he needs discipline." Roland said with a slight yawn, indicating he was attempting to stave off a nap.

"With Oxthmas and Gregor back at base, and us just standing here, it seems apparent to me that we truly are alone as wielders, even with this new generation." Gunamnex said with a sigh, watching Aleri pull off a wind raid.

"True, all our brethren and sistren are gone now, but we are still here, and they live on through us."

Gunamnex glanced at his mentor. While what Roland said was true, he still felt as though that part of them would never be truly repaired. Not wishing to drum up more memories, he attempted to change subjects.

"You see something familiar in Aleri, don't you Roland?"

"The lad reminds me of some of those brave souls that forged ahead in the war, the ones no one today remembers. Watch his eyes when he is with his keyblade, those are eyes of one devoted to his friends. While many today have eyes like that, only that lad has the glimmer of those of old."

Gunamnex, having failed to not think about the past again due to Roland's response, simply sighed, continuing to watch the training taking place.

Aleri allowed his keyblade to return to him, slashing at the air in front of himself... pulling up a jagged wall of crystals in the path of his blade.

He jumped at the moment he calculated that Dante would crash into the wall, somersaulting and landing on the other side. "I may not be going all-out, but this is pretty fun. I have to keep reminding myself not to use more power, or I'll slip up and forget to fight with skill, and then one of us would be toast. I'm not even sure which one of us it would be."

<...Gunamnex was a different quality to him than the others. Do you think it's 'cuz he's from the KHCanonverse?>

Dante ran up the wall, and stopped on the top spine. "I'd think that'd be me" he said casting another Haste on himself and jumped at him, fists flying.

Aleri backpedaled away from the barrage of punches, then cast Aero to get some breathing space. "...I'd play along, but I really haven't gotten fisticuffs down yet. It was never the most practical way to fight Heartless. Still..." He unsummoned Broken Soul as the wind around him dissipated. "...I may as well practice, right?"

Dante chuckled and got ready again. "Let's start then" he. Said jumped at Aleri again, swinging at his head quickly.

Aleri held out his left forearm to block the swing, bringing about his right leg to kick at Dante's midriff. "Sorry if my skills aren't too impressive. I'm not Nathan."

"So... technically, he's a spirit? Or is he human?" Archer asked carefully.

Dante grabbed his leg, then started to spin in circles at high speed, then tried to let go so his momentum would throw Aleri through the crystal wall

"I'm the one who suggested it," sighed the Saiyan. "Yes, whenever."

"Okay. Let me give it a go..." White held his breath and held his hand out; eyes closed. He released a energy from his heart and a destination from hid mind and a light corridor appeared. Bright and blinding as always. A saiyan and White however are used to these strong lights. White walked through.
