You haven't been around for ridiculously long, but we can easily tell you're good. Plus, you're one of Bob's friends. You use a Disney character, Sylvia, from Treasure Planet, rather than an OC, like most of us. That's awesome. It's easy to portray something you came up with, but a character from a different work of fiction?

I think she said she was just from the world of Treasure Planet, not the actual movie, but I (sadly) haven't seen it, so what do I know about anything.

It's been YEARS since I saw it, so I vaguely remember there being a female pirate. And by years, I mean ten of 'em. At least.

Either way, having a character who isn't superhuman is more interesting, but it's hard to deal with being weaker.

I know from experience that the game is horrible. Oh, so horrible...but then again, video game adaptations have a tendency to not be any good, so that says nothing.

In any case, happy birthday, Ranger. Daniel will not soon forget your character's antisocial behavior. Or, as you would say it, behaviour...You learn these things when you have Irish parents.

That's not the important part. The important part is how everybody talks about how you've improved, and your strengths and weaknesses, and stuff. And just generally how you are as a writer and User. I was curious about what everybody else thinks of me and my writing. And that aside, there's just the principle of it. People don't just ignore you on your birthday, that's just not nice.

Everyone knows you're good though xD

Well, since I humbly apologize for not being on to wish you a happy return, I'll give you a belated User review as a present.

Overall, I think you are the second top poster on here, Bob being the only one above you. All of your posts are worth reading, and even when they don't pertain to my characters I tend to find myself reading your characters' interactions. You bring a good deal of dialogue in, something I myself envy. I noted that you said I had seniority here and you felt that I was a better poster (I'm rephrasing from memory, pardon me if I misquoted you). While I do technically have seniority, that has nothing to do with writing skill in my opinion. I feel that, if anything, you should have moderator status and not myself. Back to your characters, I haven't paid much attention to their personality or who they are in general, but as I read your material I find myself caring more and more as to what happens with them.

Tl;dr: You're awesome, bro.

^_^ Thanks! ...But for the record, I think being a Mod wouldn't be a good idea, in my case. I have the tendency to go ever-so-slightly crazy if given too much power. That, and I like having my name written in easy-to-read white text.


Well, it's only fair that we review Sammy now.

Sam started off pretty rough. His skills were obviously unpolished, and he had the unfortunate habit of killing off his female characters and replacing them. It has gotten better; the last time he "Offed" a character, it was really more that she turned into a real ***** and was forgotten.

He has steadily improved, learning little-by-little. For one, he now knows that character deaths are meaningless unless we have gotten to know the character long enough first. Two weeks is not enough. Six months may suffice. A year? Perfect. Two years? Holy cow, don't be THAT cruel.

Sam's still a little behind, but he's catching up fast. Now, he has actually gotten so used to writing in Novel to improve his skills, he uses it instead of Script. I'd say he wins the prize for Most Improved. Somebody give that man a medal.

He's already got one. He's our highest ranked non-title member at Beta.

Oh, yeah, I meant to congratulate him on that at some point, but I keep forgetting.

Most improved definitely goes to Sam, for sure. I think the threat of the hammer kinda served as a little bit of motivation, but all the same, I can actually tell your characters apart now. Good job, dude.

Nebula, I have you to thank for an improvement to my own skills. If you hadn't started that one topic, I would probably still suck at writing really, really bad right now. So, yeah. What Zeldaman said, you're awesome, bro.

I love how you guys have an entire debate on Nebula and Sam, and I get one sentence, and a "^this." lmao to be fair though, theirs was skipped in entirety.

Well, I'd probably still suck, too. Have you gone back into the archives lately? Some of the writing, even on the first TITAL Org.XIV topic, can be painful to read. That's why there's a plan to collaborate and create an updated, higher-quality rewritten archive that omits any retconned stuff, and everything is spliced into a more readable sequence, so we're not jumping around between Rexson's exploits as a Nobody and Aleri's return to existence.

It IS kinda weird, especially when there are similarities between the situations. Aleri, Lance, Thalia, and Maya eating ice cream in Twilight Town while Sylvia, Archer, and Nick eat ice cream on Synthisle, for the most recent example. I think somebody outright stated their confusion about who was where.

Long story short, on a forum there was a guy who called people "lesser" than him "Betas".
