I only said I'd HEARD it was. Which is automatically a 50% chance of being completely wrong, 40% chance of being vaguely right, and 10% chance of being so far from the truth that it boggles the mind.

I believe we should blame it on someone who can't defend themselves so I blame Nyan Cat. Him and his sick poptart-cat mind.

I've also heard that some aspects of the show's plot could resemble a porno, but I haven't actually seen it, so I can't say for sure. But I will leave you with this: the transformation sequences. Just, the transformation sequences.

Re: The General Discussion Topic.
Yeah. There's a dumb show that younger people I know watch called "The Winx Club". It stars teenage girls who have to use their transformation sequences before they can use magic. From bits and pieces of what I've seen while glancing away from the computer, I could instantly tell that somebody was really a villain (the main character reminds her that she doesn't have their magical powers, so she can't help them do whatever) among other things (he's the prince, you're the chosen one, you'll take a whole episode to master your new transformation, everybody in the team will get a level two transformation...).
And the transformation sequences are about as fanservicey as it gets on a kids' show. And that awful theme they play while it happens, which takes forever... and they have terrible names. They take words and mangle them while throwing in the letter X.

Re: The General Discussion Topic.
Imaginix (abomination combination of imagine and magic. Looks alright? Well, try having people singing it constantly during the transformation sequence). Do I really have to say more? Oh, yeah, and for the recurring villain's name, they smashed two syllables together. The syllables Val and Tor. They usually convey a sense of power or dread, but they just... samshed 'em together for the name "Valtor". Maybe if they didn't say it in stupid, over-the-top voices all the time, I could take it seriously... the guy DID steal a couple of peoples' SOULS.

I'm not disagreeing with you. I'm just pointing out that Xehanort is an example of that which you speak of.

Re: The General Discussion Topic.
True, but the name Xehanort sounds cool. It has a bit of a menacing ring to it that gives the idea that you should be afraid of him if he crosses your path. Imaginix.... *snicker* Sorry. *snicker* *uproarious laughter*

Re: The General Discussion Topic.
That is true. In "Xehanort" the X has a Z sound to it, plus the E is more of Ay...Maybe it's only scary to Grammar Nazis...

Re: The General Discussion Topic.
Yeah, Xehanort can be menacing. And Winx Club does MORE than just that. It was the only example I could remember, having not actually seen the show... fragments aside.
I was aware of the hypocrasy of what I said, and was trying to subliminally point out that presentation is important... Like if Sammy had masterful presentation, his copy-and-paste plotlines and names would be more interesting.
I sympathize with him when it comes to rushed plots, I used to do that, and failing to build drama. However, the differences him and the original RPer known as Nebula are thus:
-I always used correct spelling and grammar if possible. I DO screw up sometimes, though, like failing to double-check, or... uh... "Dissapeared" "Rediulous" "Tounge" "Toom". Yeah. I corrected the first one a long time ago, the second fairly recently, the third one less recently, the fourth... I realized I forgot how to spell it correctly, so I excluded it from Sukiru's dialogue, replacing it with "Crypt".
-I never claimed to be good at all. I let others judge me. Sammy assumed he was an expert on Novel... and we all know how that turned out.
-I improved by writing in novel, and aspired to greater things! Actually, that was because I started Org.XIV, and people joined. I was going to use Script at first, before somebody advised that I use Novel. I am SO glad I listened.
...That list went on longer than expected.
...On another note, look up Disgaea 4. Most over-the-top game ever, with a level cap of 9999, damage cap of about FOUR QUADRILLION, MUTHA****A! And a rediculous vampire protagonist named Valvatorez, voiced by Troy Baker (Kanji Tastumi, Snow Villiers, and other kickass roles). He is the first vampire I have come to respect. It is to be noted that I haven't seen Hellsing.

Re: The General Discussion Topic.
You said you corrected your habit of spelling "ridiculous" wrong!
"Toom" you said you forgot how to spell? Tomb.

There were three things on that list, how long did you expect it to be?
Also, if you've only ever respected one vampire, I think there are a lot of things you haven't seen. Like Buffy. The movie doesn't count.
