Lance nodded at Dispatch, "Come to watch the spectacle?"

Dispatch nodded at the king-of-a-different-world. "Yeah. So...I've seen a lot of people with Keyblades lately. Any idea why that might be? I mean, at one point there were almost none."

<Kinda like this. But, considering the physical impossiblity of reacting in time to any of this, right after perfomring a maneuver like that, even with somebody who is superhuman... it would be unreasonable to dodge any of this in the first place. Wth the comet, there was a fairly obvious way to get out of the blasting zone.>

A hand burst from the ground beneath Eira, grabbing her ankle. What she had presumed to be Aleri shattered against the cieling, revealing itself to be more crystal. The genuine article arose from the ground, swinging here around. He eventually released her, sending her flying into a nearby wall. Not that he was going to leave it at that...

Aleri summoned back TELOS, flickering and appearing in Eira's flight path. He spun in place, bouncing her off his blade and into the ceiling, from which another cluster of crystals shot out, smashing her to the floor below.

"Sorry, I'd do something more impressive, but I hate doing anything like dropping meteors on people less than halfway into a fight!"

<Her focus would still be on where she thinks Aleri is, not where he actually is.>

She pulled herself up from the attack. She healed her wounds and is back to full health and stamina. She charged at Aleri and then went through his body and came behind her. She kicked her foot out at Aleri and then bounced off telos and spun around in the air and backfliped away from Aleri.

Aleri was knocked over by the kick, but he quickly returned to his feet. "Well, getting right back up from that... impressive. But you should probably know that healing magic only works as a temporary fix. Your fatigue from fighting will still be there. You can't afford to let your guard down, especially when you don't know your opponent's depths."

He pointed to her. "And remember, I'm still holding back. I hate to break a promise." I haven't even used my Focus ability yet. Still, that's kind of a trump card. So are Meteor, Holy, and Ultima.

The air around Eira suddenly turned red, and began heating up...

Let's see if she can figure this one out...

"To be honest, I have a theory. You know worlds have hearts right?" Lance asked.

<Hello, skill that I recognize but don't want to give away...>

"Whats going on." She raised her keyblade up in order to be ready for an attack. Her wings were folded down on her back ready to take flight or block in the time of need.

Aleri closed his eyes. "Too late."

The area around her was enveloped in a fiery explosion. Well, it looked like fire, but it was more like non-elemental, high-desnity energy being released.

"That's a variation of the spell 'Flare'. You get time to escape the area as it charges up, and it's pretty obvious, but if you think you can block it, you're wrong. The very air around you exploded, so no form of blockage could've stopped it."

<It probably wasn't what you were thinking of, Haar, sorry. Out of curiosity... what did you think it was?>

<Um, Flare. What did you think I thought it was? you said he was saving Meteor/Holy/Ultima. Then you said the air was heating. What else was I supposed to think of?>

<*cough* Dispatch needs to respond. *cough*>

Dispatch nodded. "Yeah, I heard that...somewhere. I think it was in a library. I also think I blew that library up at one point, but I think I just told you something you don't need to know so go on."

Eira shot 12 shots of Ice into the air and then combined them. They covered the whole air and spread out over the room. She pointed her keyblade into the air and light spiraled around the keyblade. She used her wings to cover her body. "Crystal Stasis." The cells in the air froze to the point where all attacks using elemental energy were rendered useless. "Sorry, Aleri i'm not gonna let you win that easily." The whole room started to freeze as all the cells in the room were froze from the inside out. She knew that the air would freeze Aleri to death so she stepped in and covered her wings around Aleri and saved both of them.

Lance raised an eyebrow but continued regardless, "I think the worlds or maybe Kingdom Hearts itself is using us as a defense mechanism. There's a lot of evil stirring, X Sigma for example. I've also witnessed to other old evils resurface. A powerful shadow named Matchitehew and a demon known as Feral Chaos."

"Now, more worlds are being enveloped in darkness as well. So, the worlds are creating more key blades and bladers to protect them."

<....Namine, you realize that this attack would suffocate everyone in the area, including yourself, right?>

"Matcha...Matthew...Mala...What?" Dispatch shook his head. "Never mind, it's not important. So you're saying just...More danger, more Keyblades?"

Aleri's voice rang out from the other side of the room. "A valiant effort, but TELOS repels magic. I didn't even need to make use of my abilities..."

A crystalline replica of Aleri had taken his place, and promptly exploded, sending shards everywhere.

"I appreciate your sense of mercy, but don't think I'm the type to die so easily! I survived THIS!" Aleri projected one of his recent memories into her mind: Hundreds of blades crafted from bone cutting through his body at high speeds, endlessly, torturously tearing him apart. "That was an attack by a kid who isn't even in his teenage years yet. I survived that, and I think I can survive a little chill, don't you?"

"If you insist on underestimating me, I'll have to show you one of my trump cards before I can be assured that being a Keyblade Master means something... Holy!"

A ring of light surrounded Eira. If one looked closely, it wasn't a solid ring; it was a series of white orbs circling her at high speeds. Then several more appeared, covering different angles. Then, they closed in, colliding in the middle, creating one great explosion of holy energy.

Aleri couldn't bring himself to use a spell alone as his final attack, so he finished it off by leaping into the air, creating a magical extension to his blade, and swinging full-force down on the target area, despite the already blinding light. "Zone of Ruin!"

<You DO realize that, by the time everything exploded, she would've... y'know, been blasted? If she didn't know what was going on until it happened, and it happened instantaneously, there is no way she could've stopped it.>

Lance emitted a large burst of fire magic returning the room to normal, "Exactly that. It makes sense. When the worlds feel threatened, more key blades appear. Same as in the war, when darkness got its origins... Thousands of blades appeared to compensate. Even if they weren't all light. It prevented the worlds from dissappearing completely."

Dispatch shrugged. "Logic...I think."

"Your good kid. I'm sorry you were put through that pain. You deserve a role as a keyblade master like those of us who are." She smiled and then she fell to the ground. A light swirled around her body.
