Re: Ventus' Zombieland
Ronan nodded back and tried to get the box to the designated meeting point. As he eased out the door, he heard the screams of several infected. "Um, Layla. I have company. Hurry....please?" He placed the box in a spot near the dear and picked up a pipe from the ground.
Re: Ventus' Zombieland
A box flew from the open door, its contents of apples falling out as it shattered against an infected's chest. Layla appeared not far behind and finished the Infected in a single stroke as she prepared for more, she handed Ronan a set of keys, "Go unlock the garage. I'll deal with our friends."
Re: Ventus' Zombieland
Ronan took off running, pulling at the door as soon as it was unlocked. "I got it!" As he said that, a Thug hit him from his blind spot. Ronan flew back several feet, landing on his back. "I've had ENOUGH of this." Flickering with rage, he pulled his pistol. Taking dead aim he put down the thug plus the other two infected that were inside the garage. Relaxing enough to put the gun away, he yelled back to Layla, "The truck is good! I'll load while you finish them off!"
-Meanwhile, in Daniel's dream-
Daniel opened his eyes. The black that surrounded him was cold. He was breathing softly, and still watching every breath, as it swirled before him. He slowly stood. He began to shiver, as the cold began to hit him, even more. A light slowly turned on to his left. He swirled around, to see what was being revealed. He rubbed his eyes, thinking he was seeing things. He was back in the convenience store, back home. He reached for the door, but it opened, before he touched it. He walked in, breathless. Old Man Richardson stood behind the counter and broke into a grin, "Daniel! How goes it, son?"
"Um, yeah, p-pretty good."
"What's the matter? you look like you've seen a ghost?"
"I-I'm fine, just confused."
As he finished his sentence, three guys burst into the store, screaming for everybody to get to the ground. Daniel hit the ground. He looked up, seeing one with a gun pointed at Richardson. He saw another out of sight of the others he slowly moved to a better position. He began to remember, something similar to this from the past. He couldn't place his finger on it. He moved closer to his target.

Leo chuckled. "No need be sarcastic, pal" He said as he leveled his rod on his shoulder, arms hung on both sides. "lets just find Nick so i can get back to keeping Xetus from pissing off an elf"
Re: Ventus' Zombieland
<Wow...I haven't poste in forever....>
Ronan had finished loading the truck and noticed Layla had finished her part of the job as well. "Alright, c'mon let's go! I know of another station nearby, maybe we can grab a couple extra things. I doubt they'd turn away the extra food."
-Daniel's Dream-
Daniel continued to crawl towards the back, to the lone perp, grabbing beer and energy drinks from the cooler. As he reached his destination, he slowly stood, taking the man's gun from his pocket at placing it to the enemy's head, his other arm around his neck.
The masked man dropped the bag of loot with a loud bang, several cans bursting open. Daniel whipped around and shouted his commands. "Alright, put your guns down NOW!" He looked over to Old Man Richardson. "Are you alright? Call the police!"
Old Man Richardson nodded and moved for the phone, as the largest of the masked men opened fire. The elderly man never stood a chance. He dropped, killed almost instantly.
Daniel threw his hostage to the side, opening fire on the gunman, putting him down quickly. The other at the front tried to flee, but a shot in his leg brought him down, screaming in agony. Daniel pointed the now smoking gun at the third of the group. "I won't move man, I won't move! Just call the cops!" the cowering man said, wide-eyed, his hands above his head as he lay on the floor.
Daniel headed to the front of the store. Richardson lay there, his eyes still open, a pool of his blood surrounded him. Daniel noticed the knot in his throat growing. It was all his fault. How could he let an innocent man die?

Re: Ventus' Zombieland
Layla jumped into the back of the truck, "You drive. I'll keep track of the stuff."
Re: Ventus' Zombieland
Ronan didn't argue. He jumped into the driver's seat and started the truck up. Just as he began to pull away, three infected came sprinting down the hill towards the duo. He put all of them down quickly, hitting them and then running them over as the hit the ground. He sped off towards his next location.
-Daniel's Dream-
Daniel sat on the curb of the sidewalk, outside the store. He held his head in his hands, his face covered. How had he let this happen? The sheer stupidity of the solution he had thought of! He hadn't even checked to see his own victim put his gun down, he just assumed.
It hurt. He had let a respected member of the town die, murdered by a trio of guys, just looking for a quick score. The security camera would support his story, whether the two wanna-be-bandits did or not.
"Son?" A police officer stood over him, "We need to ask you some questions, can you come with me?" Daniel stood gingerly, following the officer.

Re: Ventus' Zombieland
Layla smirked as she sat in the back polishing her blade. The trip brought back bittersweet memories of her first few years of survival.

Re: Ventus' Zombieland
Ronan came to a stop at a second gas station. Climbing out he looked to Layla and her knife and smirked, before heading inside. He swallowed the lump in his throat. It was obvious that the owners had lost the battle of survival.
He thought back to the times he had gotten lost and some how managed to find this place. He headed to the back of the station and picked up the box of chocolate bars. He turned his head to the left, but snapped it back forward when he saw the body of the owner. He clenched his mouth shut and exited the store.
-Daniel's Dream-
Daniel walked away, rather numbly, from the officers. It had been painful to tell them how it had been his fault that Old Man Richardson had been killed, because of him. The guilt was unbearable. He headed home, not knowing what else to do.
He walked into his house, dropping his backpack on the couch as he walked through. His thoughts were few, and far between. He walked to his dad's gun case, taking out a pistol. He carried it to his room, locking the door behind him. He sat on his bed, staring at the gun.
He put the gun to his temple, about to pull the trigger...when there was a knock at the door. "Daniel?" It was his mom. "Daniel, honey? Are you in there? I have a letter for you. It's from that resort you applied to! The place that starts with the 'B'?"
He knew he couldn't do this with his mom right there, so he went and opened the door, but not before hiding the gun underneath his pillow. "Here, let me see it." As he opened it, there was a bright flash...
-Lifeguard Station-
Daniel sat up as though startled and looked around the room. His heart was racing, and he was struggling to breathe normally. "W-where's Ronan?"

<*cough* Lixan and Leo *cough*>
Lixan dismissed his blades. "Yeah. ...Wait a sec, he was in the distance just a second ago."

Re: Ventus' Zombieland
I shrugged and flipped my rod off my shoulder. "It seems we lost him...lets just head back to the lifeguard tower, he'll have to go back and we can speak to him there"
Re: Ventus' Zombieland
Ronan gave her the box of chocolate and climbed back in the cab of the truck. He started it up and drove back to the station, without a single word. The only sound was that of the engine, not even a zombie bothered them.
Re: Ventus' Zombieland
I turned around towards Skife. "We'll find him faster if we wait in the tower...plus I need to check up on a patient" I said then I disappeared off to the towwe.
Re: Ventus' Zombieland
As he turned off the truck, Ronan climbed out of the truck. He looked to the sun, trying to tell time, rather fruitlessly. He looked over towards Layla, or at least where she had been before she disappeared to who knows where, along with the supplies they had gathered. He strolled into the station, and smiled broadly as he heard Daniel's voice, "Danny boy!"
"Ronan!" He smiled back at his friend, "Good to see ya, kid."
"Glad to see ya awake, boyo." He looked around the room, "What's the plan?"

Re: Ventus' Zombieland
TJ and Xetus were playing poker in the corner of the station. "straight flush! That's bullsh**!" Xetus said, easily heard by the others. "Not my fault, cough up your pistol ammo" The kid said.
Re: Ventus' Zombieland
Ronan chuckled and shook his head. "TJ, the cards in your sleeve are showin'."
Re: Ventus' Zombieland
The boy paused and checked "no their...oh....****" he mumbled as Xetus slowly leaned over the table, smirking. "You bloody cheater! Give me my weapon back!" He said. TJ was already running by the time Xetus fully stood and leapt over the table.
Re: Ventus' Zombieland
Ronan scooped the young boy up in one arm, "Never try to cheat a gambler." He pried the winnings from the boy's hands and flipped them to Xetus, smirking and nodding.
Daniel sat silently watching, laughing to himself. He shook his head before trying to stand. As he got to his feet his head began to spin.
Ronan placed TJ back on his feet and moved to Daniel's side, "You alright, Danny boy?"
"Fine, just a little shaky. Had a bad dream."

Re: Ventus' Zombieland
TJ pouted as Xetus pockets the bullets, and pointed to the table. "Next game, no cheating" he said as they walked back and the older boy shuffled the deck
Re: Ventus' Zombieland
Layla descended the stairs with a dissapproving look, "Gambling survival tools isn't a good idea. Those should be evenly distributed not wasted. Money? Gamble with that as much as you want. There isn't much use for it."
